When exploring fireplaces, it is worth keeping your own needs, usage habits, and the fireplace’s location in mind. In older homes, the load-bearing capacity of the structure must be assessed and taken into account.
According to statistics from the Natural Resources Institute Finland, most of the firewood we use, 6.5 million cubic meters, was made directly from roundwood sourced from forests. Of this, two-thirds was split firewood and one-sixth was full-length split logs.
